Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to:

• The GGTrends website (ggtrends.com and its localized pages)
• The GGTrends Chrome extension (GGtrends.com helper)
• Related support, waitlist, and newsletter flows

It explains what data we process, why we process it, and what controls you have.

Service Overview

GGTrends helps users discover rising keywords from Google Trends.

• Website: task creation, run monitoring, result viewing, export, docs, billing/waitlist
• Extension: executes assigned Google Trends collection tasks and returns status/results to the connected GGTrends session

The extension is built for this single purpose only.

Data We Process

1) Account and contact data

• Email address and basic profile data when you sign up or sign in
• Support/waitlist/newsletter contact details you submit

2) Trends task and result data

• Input keywords, run/task configuration, progress status
• Collected Google Trends related-query and trend response data
• Analysis outputs and exported result files

For guest mode, task results are primarily stored in browser local storage/IndexedDB.

3) Extension operational data

The extension processes only what is needed to run tasks:

• Run/task identifiers and runtime metadata (for example runId, taskId, queue state)
• Google Trends responses from supported endpoints
• Runtime health and error state for pause/resume/retry/recovery

4) Billing and transaction data

If paid features are enabled, checkout and billing are handled by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers.

5) Site usage data

• Basic technical logs (for reliability and abuse prevention)
• Analytics events when analytics tools are enabled

Extension Permissions and Data Minimization

The extension uses limited permissions to perform its single purpose:

• host_permissions: https://trends.google.com/*
• permissions: storage, tabs, alarms

What this means in practice:

• It is designed to access only Google Trends pages required for task execution
• It does not request broad host access like <all_urls>
• It does not sell personal data
• It does not use extension data for unrelated advertising purposes

If browser prompts request access required for website-extension communication (for example apps/service access prompts), denying access can break task execution.

How We Use Data

We use data to:

• Provide and operate GGTrends features
• Run, monitor, and recover Trends tasks
• Enforce quotas, abuse controls, and security checks
• Provide customer support and service notices
• Manage billing, receipts, and waitlist/newsletter operations
• Improve product quality and reliability

How We Share Data

We do not sell your personal data.

We may share limited data with service providers that help us operate the service, such as:

• Authentication providers (when you choose OAuth login)
• Payment provider (Stripe)
• Email/newsletter providers
• Analytics providers (only when enabled)
• Infrastructure/storage providers

These providers process data under their own terms and applicable data protection obligations.

Data Retention

• Local browser data (including extension local state and local Trends results) remains until you delete it
• Account, billing, support, and operational records are retained as needed for service operation, security, legal compliance, and dispute handling
• You may request deletion of your account data through support (subject to required legal retention)

Security

We apply technical and organizational safeguards, including access controls, token verification for extension bridge commands, and environment-based security controls. No system is 100% secure, but we continuously improve controls.

Your Choices and Rights

You can:

• Remove the extension at any time
• Clear extension local data from extension UI or browser storage settings
• Delete local/site data from your browser
• Unsubscribe from newsletter emails
• Contact us to request account data access or deletion

Depending on your location, you may have additional legal rights under applicable privacy laws.

Children's Privacy

GGTrends is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

International Data Processing

Your data may be processed in countries different from your own, depending on service providers and infrastructure regions.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
